high quality

ISO9001:2015 is the newest version of the most applied quality management system. It is very important within a lean organization to define the standards that are expected in a professional work environment.

This counts for every sector: industry, governance, construction, healthcare, etc. Every organization needs quality standards and standards that determine how products and services should be delivered to clients. ISO9001:2015 is a ‘Quality Management System’ (QMS) that many organizations have implemented for this.

ISO9001:2015 is a collection of business processes aimed at achieving the quality policy and the quality objectives of the customers and the legal requirements. There are multiple standards for quality management of systems, but ISO9001 is one of the most used systems in the world. More than one million organizations worldwide are independently ISO9001 certified.

Quality management can be divided into the following three focus areas:

  • ‘Quality Planning’ (QP):
Aimed at the planning of the way in which the quality policy can be achieved and can be translated into measurable objectives and requirements.
  • ‘Quality Control’ (QC):
Aimed at the detection of errors. It consists of inspections and checks that are applied to the production processes. The goal is to ensure only the good products are delivered to the next process step or customer.
  • ‘Quality Assurance’ (QA):
Aimed at prevention. This entails the prevention of mistakes in products and services by taking measures in the preparation of the production and checking the processes.
